Interested in "doing" real scientific research activities that you can use back in your classroom? Project INSTAR is in its eleventh year of engaging science educators in current marine and atmospheric science research, education, and technology training in the coastal and atmospheric environments. Our mission is to bridge the gap between scientific researchers and K-12 educators by enhancing the content knowledge and scientific thinking of K-12 teachers by offering hands on laboratory, field, and technology training in various scientific themes. Teachers are actively engaged in conducting research projects with actual scientists to produce activities and lessons that can be implemented back into the classroom.
